I had to tighten the hydraulic pump belt, and the accelerator pedal was all wrong ...it was almost on the floor! Anyway, a quick tweak and then took it for a drive. It went well, got it up to 70, all the gears changed smoothly. Happy.

Got back, checked the gearbox fluid level. Strangely it doesn't show a good level on the dipstick with the engine idling. But when stone cold the level is halfway up on the 80 degree level. I think it needs more.... So far 4 litres has gone in.
It's been washed this afternoon, so I can see out of it now, always a good thing.

So we will see what happens. I still think the hydractive spheres need changing. The ride is a bit lumpy. So I might have to do that soon. The front brake pads I found are not brilliant. By that I mean they are missing those little locating pips. So they squeal when they have warmed up. They will need changing at some point. But they have loads of meat on them, so not too critical.
Next little job is to lower the hot idle setting. Will do that next week some time. It's not to high, only need to lower by a few hundred revs.
Very pleased so far.
