Ashby Folville meet got stopped by the Police and it has been pretty quiet for evening car meets, but now we have another one started up.

It's not big yet and most of the cars are not that special...yet, but it's a nice evening out.

I went along on Tuesday. I was late arriving and didn't get the camera out until too late and quite a number had left, but...

The Mandarin XM got quite a welcome and two people commented on having owned XM and liked them and another is now interested in buying one...

It was a Prefect, not a Consul, although they are the same cars in a different dress.

Very nice! What do you mean stopped by the police? Why would they do that for?

I used to go to another meet, but it got so big there were problems. We are talking of 200 cars on display and about 250 in the overspill field and 500+ motorbikes.
As well as the exceptionally nice cars on display there would be people with muscle cars and bikes that wanted to do burnouts in the lane.

The police were in regular attendance and had the helicopter out once.
