1997 2.0TCT Estate - SOLD!

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

1997 2.0TCT Estate - SOLD!

Post by beko1987 » Sat Jun 28, 2014 11:51 am

The sad time has come to move my XM on now my new deisel donkey is working and taxed.

Previously Campbells of this parish, you all know it's history (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4658

2.0 TCT Auto Estate
363 days MOT
2 days tax (Monday 30th) Was hoping to tax it for sale but I cant afford 2 lots of tax this month.
119,600 Miles (ish, may go for a drive tomorrow!)

The Good
Recent oil and filter, air filter and general servicing
Gearbox fluid has been drained and flushed (probably wouldnt hurt to do it again this summer)
Hydraflush was run for 5k, and it's been on LHM for about 15-16k now
CitroJim kindly showed me how to get the spheres off and we ran them through his tester and all was well (apart from rear centre, see 'The Bad' for details)
He also ran his lexia over it all and there's no old (or new) fault codes stored)
He also diagnosed and replaced a dicky turbo sensor, which turned the EML light off for good!
Cloth interior. Few fag burns on the passenger seat (from it's previous irish owner)
2 good parcel shelves (the retractable one is just starting to pull out on one side but it's good for a while yet)
Boot floor carpet with 2 of the 4 poppers still present...
Both displays work, although the LH one needs the rubber seal fix doing to it as there's a few lines out
Philips tape player still fitted
All electrics work (rear demist is a bit slow though, but gets there in the end)

The bad
Needs a new rear passenger tyre pretty soon (just squeaked through the MOT
Needs a new spare tyre (or the rear passenger one swapped for the spare etc)
Headlight washers dont work. Needs the y piece fitting which I do have somewhere...
LH Headlight washer trim broke. I have 80% of it in the passenger door pocker
Slight oil leak from somewhere, sprays over the engine bay. No idea where it comes from, it's never drunk a drop. (that's the 'Oil Leak' advisory on the MOT)
Small hole in the middle silencer causing a small blow (the join is fixed now that I was having issues with). Small blob of wob may cure it for now, will do it if I have time)

£450 needing a wash, hoover and tax!

If there's no interest then I'll get it cleaned up (still no tax though) and pop it on ebay for £450 start. My girlfirneds working nights this weekend hence why I cant spend the day tidying it (and it's raining!)

Located OX3 9XZ Thame, Oxfordshire. Any questions, just shout!

Cheers

Sam

Forgot to say, it is still insured, so (taxless) test drives welcome, and should a buyer be found I can drive us to the post office and tax it for the drive home if you put your card behind the bar before we sign the V5 (got the tax reminder on the shelf which will be easier)
