I can remember them quite well I take it the one you had was a PA MODEL , my father had the PC version with a bench front seat and a 3 speed column change, but they (PA,PB & PC) all suffered from 'Tin-worm' quite badly, just like all the 101 Victor ranges etc. that's why I'll NEVER want to own a GM product !
I can still remember helping my dad bodging up both the 101 and the PC Vauxhall's which were both <3 years old
with fibre-glass matting/Aluminum mesh and P38/P40 etc. :!:
An XM if for life, (Not just for Christmas) !

Aha yes, this wee belter, I was looking for it the other day to show to Andrew when he said the XM with too many 'XM' badges was scary and making him hide behind the sofa... I was thinking he aint seen nothing yet...

Reminds me of this fine specimen:

That pink car is truly disgusting.

The Yellow one is pretty revolting, the rear wing/airofoil thing is just plain rediculous.

Why do they do it? :?

At least this bloke has some taste.

Black is classy, and the chrome really sets it off a treat.........don't you think..........?

Pictures borrowed from somebody on the old forum, can't remember who it was though.

They're all horiffic. I think the black car is worst of all!!

Someone started out with a nice car, and made it look shit, the others probably were shit to begin with to merit the re-sprays.

Actually I lied  my first Cresta was a 'E' model, I should have said my first PA cresta was pink. I think I had six in all, the last one was a PC into which I fitted a Perkins Diesel, I bought it for £25.00 with a burnt out clutch, sold it a couple of years later for £50.00 :D

You're quite right, there is, someone on XM-L owned it.

I believe it suffered a busted strut top not long after he bought it.

Its not quite as garish as that one in the thread here, but still a bit :o
