Re: S1 V6 auto back on the road at last!!
That is correct about the seat bases Russ and I have tried to upload some photos to show the difference, although the website currently will not allow! I was pleased to hear I am not the only one who is fussy about my bonnet lining. Of course you are quite right about attention to my rear offside door and I shall at least brush back and apply some Waxoil! Ultimately I hope to replace the rear door as the poor condition is due to an earlier damaged quarter light that allowed additional water to penetrate and collect. With regards, Matthew T.

Re: S1 V6 auto back on the road at last!!
The front seat bases are handed at the back where they fit into the seat.
The difference is small but enough to have to force them in.
This can occasionally crack the plastic base.
On the ones I have done I swapped the plastic bases and did a very small amount of trimming to the cover edging.
Drivers side seat back trim and cushions has similar wear problems.
Drivers side is usually not fit to swap so I have used a spare passenger one cutting the hole for the adjuster knob.

I feel that I may have been overly critical here!!! Sorry that the promised replacement liner didn't materialise.MTXM wrote: As Rob pointed out at the Chevrons

I cannot say that I noticed this John and the seats bases are anyway quite a tight fit!The front seat bases are handed at the back where they fit into the seat.
The difference is small but enough to have to force them in.
That is no problem Rob and you were quite right to point it out!I feel that I may have been overly critical here!!! Sorry that the promised replacement liner didn't materialise

Re: S1 V6 auto back on the road at last!!
After taking another look at at a set base I have inside I do now recall there is a difference with the shape underneath, as John points out, but it does not prevent swapping and the appearance is the same from above when fitted. Regards, Matthew T.

I'll try that...but then, on the other hand, diesels don't need under-bonnet lights...
