Ummm, things didn't go too well then. Sounds like the tester wasn't a Citroen guy. The fact that he didn't even complete the test says he just wanted the car out of his testing bay. Was it really losing that much LHM.?

My suspicion is that the report makes the car sound a lot worse than it is. That said I/we have all cut plenty of rot out of XM's

Is there a forum member close to you for a bit of moral support or guidance?

That's all pretty standard rust for an Xm. The only difficulty is having to strip the carpet back to do the floor patch.
The burst pipe is pretty easy to sort.
