I'm getting used to that. Got knocked off my bike 3-1/2 weeks a go. Am suffering multiple pain areas including neck. The bike's a bit broken too...just after servicing it and fitting a number of new parts.

I have completely given up riding bikes on the road. Too dangerous round here. If it isn't potholes, then it's mad 4x4 drivers.

dont ride on the road, i got knocket off a few years ago by a car pulling out of a junction, as i was coming down the main road a stream of traffic passing me hid me from view and the visability from the juction isnt great, as he pulled out i was kind of obscured by the A pillar as i approched, bit difficult to explain but it was one of those things.

Wobbling around on a bike on the roads isnt really my thing anymore, i stick offroad now.

Thanks Guys. I was riding on the road due to being a road rider covering reasonable mileage and was doing ~28mph on impact, which would be illegal and dangerous on a pavement. The GPS log is interesting as it goes from 28mph to dead stop against the A pillar in about 0.2 sec. Then it goes 90 degrees left for some distance. I was told by the Ambulance crew that I had been deposited 25 metres sideways up the side road. I don't know about that, I never got up again...

The bike is a write off and I'm just waiting on a settlement.

On balance, I think I've been pretty lucky.

You were very lucky, that sort of impact has killed lesser mortals.
Try not to overdo things for a While Will!.

Went to toot an elderly couple sat at green traffic lights in their blue Toyota Yaris this morning, and nothing. Good job this weekends weather is better.
