Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Hi George
Had I not already got a collection of 2.1 manuals and I had wanted one, I would have been quite happy to have paid what you did, they are getting very rare now and that in itself makes them more valuable. I think they are they best model available, except possibly the estate, because not only do they have the comfort and space but a potential 50 mpg if you drive as slowly as me.
If its any help you could bring it to my place to do any work on it, I'm about 50 miles from Poole. I have a very good MOT man but you usually have to wait a few days for an appointment. We do B&B though

If I can be of any assistance just say.
Oil? any CF4 rated diesel oil, I think mine is 15/40, I pay less than £10.00 for it.

Really pleased you ended up with this Jorgy, I didn't say but had a bad feeling about that 2.0 you were pursuing; it sounded like a bit of a dog...
On the SORN, just tax it yourself or SORN as soon as you have bought it, the outstanding SORN is the previous owners issue not yours.

As far as I recall the pump is the same as all of mine IE Bosch. So you can start saving 20+p/litre straight away. (see earlier post about trip to Poole).
Shouldn't worry about specific type of oil for emengencies. You probably won't need any and will be changing it anyway I assume. I have always used fully synthetic (GSF or supermarket deals).
Just a suggestion, why not ask Nigel (or more likely his wife) whether their neighbouring MOT station could have a look to see whether a ticket could be issued with 2 new tyres. He did after all pass it 7 miles ago!!!! Then your trip home is a doddle.
