Evening gents

Both new strut tops have now been sourced (thank you John!), modified and fitted, I'm pleased to report all is well.
A pair of new bottom ball joints from a decent manufacturer have also been fitted as the others were shot to bits.

I have some good photos of the conversion and some details on why it is important to remove strut tops to check their condition but due to technical difficulties where my camera won't talk to this useless android tablet they will have to wait for a while.

The other important thing is I have sorted the dull brakes that would shudder when coming to a stop from a slow crawl, a perfectly clean brake pad locating cutout in the carrier is what is required to sort the problem and carefully use of a grinder was needed to take them back to bare metal and some copper grease applied to aid their movement and prevent further corrosion, also bled the abs block and now the brakes are sharp as a pin again.

Full pictorial update to follow when I get time, for now the XM has returned to road readiness.

It's fairly tight, very skitish and knobbly this morning, then I remembered all the tyres were pumped up to 55psi still from its little layup and I had forgotten to deflate
No issues to speak of, the OS hid goes out when flashing high beam which I shall have to sort, think it's a bad contact on the headlight loom, rear arm bearing getting crunchy. That's about it.

A car without niggles would be like a wife that doesn't talk, I'm told I would bore of it. you know, the constant peace and quiet, would be awefull.
