Did the quarter light come out OK?
This one is a nice colour but I have to say your gold one is my favourite, liked that car ever since you got it, reminds me of the early gold si we had in the family some years back, really likethat colour.

The quarter light was removed from this door earlier Dean to replace one damaged on another car. I now have to get the original door glass transferred and the main problem with removal as I recall is the outer trim, which it is almost impossible not to crease - luckily I have a spare! Many thanks for your other comments and I remember you are a fan of the gold car!! With regards, Matthew T. PS. I attach a recent photo of the two cars.

I collected the car on Saturday after refitting the rear bumper and a couple of other small tasks and I am generally pleased with the work carried out. The cills were not included as hoped, but the main bulk of the re-painting is now attended with the most significant item being replacement of the front bumper, nosecose and rear door. It is probably the door glazing bars that make the most difference in the photos I have attached. I shall put a few more miles on the car before deciding whether to do any more, subject to the bank balance of course! Regards, Matthew T.

Looking very nice Matthew. It makes an enormous difference simply painting the black window bars.
Considering how shabby it looked when you first got it, it's really transformed.

Front Bumper looks good! :)

Very many thanks Russ and this photo taken at my acquisition probably best show the difference made by the painting and other works! Regards, Matthew T.

I recently committed to the last (hopefully) of a three stage bodywork restoration, this time concentrated on tidying up the lower wings sills. There had been earlier essential welding carried out in this location but the quality of the finish fell short of what I had hoped for and I have consequently enlisted the help of another trusted bodywork specialist, which I had used before for work on sills. Anyway I called in earlier today and the task is nearly completed with just final paintwork to apply and the results are quite impressive. The front sills were in an appalling state when I bought the car sills and needless to say some further holes were found at the rear, although now the condition must the best out of my whole fleet! Regards, Matthew T.
