Today I got round to fixing the washers, the jets were blocked, took the scuttle off and worked back from the jets, the water(!) that came out resembled wallpaper paste! Cleaned and unblocked the jets, put it all back together and adjusted the angle etc. Filled up the washer bottle and it leaked all over the floor! Not quite sure how to access the washer bottle, I removed some of the wheel arch liner but still couldn't see what was going on, it's holding some water so put it all back and will await some advice!

The bottle lives above the liner and can be removed with the wing still fitted, but it is easier to do so if the wing is removed.

The leak is likely to be either of the pump or the level sensor grommets. It could be a pipe off one of the pumps.

Thanks Dieselman. Just been reading about removing wing, seems pretty straightforward!

In my case...it was the seals around pumps. It was a very slow leak.I added silicone sealant around original seals and pumps...and no more leaks.

No need for that!
Just remove that protective plastic inside of a wing and everything will be revealed. If you put the car on highest setting, you don't even need to remove the wheel.
