I hope so. That would be good.

Trying to find an XM 2.1 mount is strangely hard. Loads for the other engines. Next silly question, would PSA have done the sensible thing and used one mount for all engine types....

Yes 2 ... seeing as the subframe and floor are the same.. and carried on into 607 production too.. the 607s use the same xm front subframe!!!

The Pug 2.1 td mount is likely to be the same. The difference in mounts is that the diesel ones are more heavy duty than petrol ones.

Well the mount turned up today, and it is quite different. Well not a million miles away from each other. It would fit on the car no trouble. But would a 13mm height difference cause issues?
I know the old one would have been compressed over time, but by that much?
Plus there is the weight of the engine to compress the new one down I suppose.

Hmmmm I'm not sure. Trouble is, the mount that is exactly like my old one.... Just isn't about as far as I can see.
And this other version I have bought is all that's available for all PSA cars that used the 2.1.

I'm probably being too cautious and particular....

Anyway.. Here's a pic.

I would have thought the new mount is correct Russ and the old one has just compressed over time as you suggest! With regards, Matthew T.

That's the right one, the left one is whats referred to in engineering terms as 'knackered'.
I've go to do my bottom and gearbox ones this winter as well.
