Yes the mono-point lpg kit has come off and I actually gave it to you Paul! I really like the wheel trims myself although I may refit the original alloys in due course! The colour is also Meteor Grey and not Silex! With regards, Matthew T.

I managed to obtain and fit the new number plates today and here are some photos! As you will note I managed to include a logo for the Paris dealership who did initial servicing (up to 70,000km) and who may possibly have supplied the car. Oddly the history does not start until March 1990, some ten months after production, which I think reinforces my idea that the car was in the 1,000 displayed at Lyon and then sold on through main dealers, but I guess that might never be proven. In the service booklet there are no further dates until the 30,000km service in September 1990. The new road tax actually starts on 1st August so I shall have to wait until then to properly commission the car and I already have a list of small jobs to be done! All being well we should be at the Chevron in September. With regards, Matthew T.

Matthew, she looks gorgeous!
Love those new registration plates, beautifully done, and with a bit of the history included.
New plates really do 'dress' a classic car, adding a dash of couture...a finishing touch.
Really pleased for you.

Many thanks Chris and you are too kind! The local chap who does my plates is a real craftsman who is prepared to indulge and slightly bend the rules. The condition of the car bodywork is actually a little rough close up, but hopefully improvements will be possible in due course. With regards, Matthew T.

Bending them is one thing, breaking them is another. I may stand corrected on this as it could be a trick of the light but I don't see the British Standard number or the name and post code of the company that actually made the plates.

Even worse here. Had a perspex plate made up (for the rear of a trailer) two years ago. The new plate comes complete with an expiry date (5 years), if you please! Apparently a requirement. Notice now that all the extraneous text (except the Euro country logo) has now disappeared from plates made up by main dealers, including Peugeot, Citroen and Toyota. Odd.

I can understand why he might have chosen to leave them off. He has a reputation to protect!
