17.5 hrs is for a head gasket job. Swapping an engine is quicker.

blimey...17.5 hours for a head gasket pff why sooo long? I was half and half helping some time ago with a VAG something Vorsprung durch Technik thing, but it didn't take too long to take that head off. I now access is hard but other than that what's the difference with other cars?
I am slowly coming around on this..
But 17.5 hours is 2 working days for a pro
I hope my HG won't ever blow cause I have no spare engine with box ready

Hopefully, a decently done HG job would also include the replacement of a few other perishables while the entrails are laid out. Daft not to.
