Excellent. As I'm visiting my local garage this morning, I shall enquire.

Local garage indeed came up trumps, and didn't even charge me. Though there wasn't enough to do all of the pipes, so I just did the ones that looked iffy. And made a new bung. The one fitted in November had deteriorated badly. Another 200-mile trek tomorrow, so we'll see how she does. Cleaned up the front of the engine, so I can see if there are any fresh leaks.

I did 150 today. And the day before. And the one before that ....the more you drive the better they get. Even got complimented today with a collegue in the back seat. Wondering why they don't make cars like this anymore, not only citroens. Some horror stories about modern cars going wrong too. Like mercs for example. It is true I hear it more often. So, I'll check them tomorrow then, haven't done that in a while. Last time I looked they still looked like new.

You can normally smell diesel leaks from in the cabin.

That's the problem. It's been smelling pretty bad. Doesn't take a lot of diesel to create a stink, but you can smell it as you walk past too. When my BX did that, it was rotten fuel lines underneath but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Hopefully things will improve now.

To be honest, the more I drive mine, the more I realise I still need to get the spheres checked/replaced. And sort that sodding rattle out in the driver's door. And maybe do something about the heavy clutch. And consider replacing the driver's seat as it creaks and lacks lumbar support. Mind you, I've been thinking that for about 6000 miles now and I still love driving it...

Get them done, those spheres! It'll be worth your money saving many other parts from suffering all those future 6000 miles. And you'll drive a totally different car. Go for it! It's how I got hooked having the rear spheres of my GSA changed back in ...uhm....1991??? I drove home one big smile of surprise on my face cause I thought that car was already driving great...;)

They're completely addictive - especially when the spheres are done!

I'm looking forward to it. Problem is, I'm wanting to get the spheres that are on the car checked - it'd be really nice to know what state they're in. That means trekking to someone who's got the kit and there's no-one very close to where I am. I'll be near Plaeidies this weekend as it happens, but they will just swap a set out then regas any that are up to it. I welcome any recommendations.

The fronts on mine already have valves fitted. I don't think the rears and centrals do though.

Another video to mark 7 months of ownership and 7000 miles. You can certainly hear the annoying rattle from the driver's door...
