Both XM and Xantia have been serviced. The XM idles a lot smoother now but I'm a wee bit cautious about taking her out on the road as one of the gearbox links,
(No 2 in the picture), keeps slipping out. It will connect back up, to a point, but it won't clamp back on. At the moment it is fixed on with a tie wrap.

These are NFP from Citroen so the choice is to find another decent one, or to have this one repaired, if possible.

Can new clasps be inserted into the end of the rod or is it a case of once they've gone they're scrap?
