I'm pretty sure this is the problem with mine. However, it's zero degrees outside so removing the sunroof isn't high on the priority list! I'm hoping to find a successful way of bodging it up to get me through the winter. Sikaflex perhaps.

I damned near froze my fingers off just slapping some sealant about. Though it didn't help having to spend so much time writhing around on the floor trying to find that dropped relay...

I also pulled the rubber remnants from the strut tops, rubbed them down as best I could to get the worst of the rust off, then soaked them in anti-corrosion wax.

When I do the sunroof properly, I want to be able to take my time about it. I don't currently own enough vehicles for one to be out of use for any length of time, especially as my poor 2CV is reaching the end of its life...

All this reminds me why I love sunroofs so much...

I love having a sunroof. Odd how my BXs have never been the slightest trouble in the roof department. Ok, so only three have had sunroofs, but still...

Mine has started to leak as well. Not happy but will fix soon. Don't give up.

Our BX was textbook: front gutter tubes silted up with muddy particles, then an attempt to poke out from the top sprung the push-fit drainpipe off the casing. Roof lining out. Remember it as not a lot of fun, although instructive.

You can drop the corners of the headlining in the XM to get to the rubber pipes. I cable tied them on my grey car which really helped. Infact I must do the same as a preventative measure on the mandarin car.

So, this is good news then I guess?

Less good is the puddle in the passenger footwell. Or the fact that the weather forecast is for rain. All week. But maybe snow. And gales. Ugh!

Reassuringly, it sat running the garage for over 40 minutes and didn't get anywhere near overheating. Which is good, because the constant-running fans were annoying me so much yesterday that I removed the control relay. I did however leave the heater on. Combined with being indoors and having doors and windows open, it actually dried out for a bit!
