He's still trying to shift it Russ. I did think about making him an offer, but suspected that £2.69 and a half eaten bag of pear drops would be insufficient.

Jeepers, I didn't know he was trying to sell for that much.. No wonder it hasn't sold. It is amazing, but there is a limit!!!
Maybe some Werther's Originals might sway him Mark!

Mot tomorrow. Got an oil leak.... Grrr,

bet it is a difficult fix too. My money is on the LHD side, as you look at it from the front, crank oil seal. Totally pessimistic diagnosis I know. Oh well, tomorrow might be expensive!

An oil leak won't fail the MOT unless it's severe.

My guess would be the cam cover seal.

Fortunately that is a good thing Will, but I'll get it looked at whilst it is at the Westons. They'll no doubt find it anyway. They give the cars a pre Mot check before the actual test. Got a bit of a snag list for them actually. I am expecting a track rod end needing doing.

I would imagine you will be spot on with the leak. It is running down the LHD side and dripping off the sump plug. Annoying.
but the oil level hasn't moved. Just under full.

Are you sure it's not diesel, if so it could be as simple as a leak off pipe weeping.

Funny you say that Will, it crossed my mind too. When you rub it between your fingers it appears to be clear. But it doesn't smell strongly of diesel, could be wrong though everything smells oily and diesely under there. I can't see anything coming from the leak off pipes. No doubt I will know tomorrow. All I do know is the oil is running down the side of the engine and running down the sump to the sump plug, dripping of that.
