Just found this, Venturi raced a twin turbo 24V V6 3.0 chucking out 600 BHP at LeMans. It was the 600LM.
The road going one managed 402bhp.

Peugeot did this...."Peugeot too allowed a small group of engineers to create a team for endurance racing, and after a few years the team grew to be called WM Peugeot. The ultimate version of the car used a low compression 3.0 litre bottom end coupled to bespoke twin-cam heads. It is the only DOHC PRV. This car still holds the top speed record at 24 Hours of Le Mans set in 1988. By taping over the engine cooling intakes to improve aerodynamics, the team managed to push the car to 407 kilometres per hour (253 mph) on the 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) straight before the engine was destroyed."

Cor :D Just imagine one of those hot PRVs in an XM.. I reckon with the aerodynamics of an XM it should be good for over 200mph...

That would be fun in an XM....

Destroy'd DOHC PRV thats no good is it!!

Jim,

The PRV 24v Manual XM will already reach 155mph as they are NOW! However, the nose gets a little light at this speed!
