I saw the light in the end Paul! It wasn't just any KA though. It was a fully loaded luxury one with cream leather and black paint! Got to have some standards!
Now that is a point Jim, as I can drive the C5 without it throwing Wobblies! Clearly XM drivers must be careful which brand of car they also drive. Fords do not go down well it seems!

My XM hasn't had much use in the past few weeks. Took it to the car wash on Monday, to treat it to some beautification and much needed derv ahead of the X rally. I was most surprised to find the reluctant N/S mirror was fully functional.
XM's, you gotta love 'em.

Yeah. I got my passenger side mirror working again. It had set in place. Good old WD40 sorted that out. Trouble is with them, once you have them set, they never get moved! Must remember exercise them too!!

... Paul, one thing they are good at, is they are quite good fun to drive. Little go carts. But I know, my god they like to rust in stupid places. I had to underseal all the sills. One year up in Newcastle has wreaked havoc.
Still.... not my concern now really, the KA was an unexpected blip.

... Seriously it was....I have always wanted an XM and always loved citroens. I love French cars in particular. This is me trying to defend my Ford ownership!!!

Volvos are fine, they have french engines in some of them... PRVs, Renaults 1.9D, Renaults 1.4 and 1.7 engines which are all better then their newer DCi items..

I enjoyed it for a while, but they quickly show up they're weaknesses. Crap brakes, horrible on the motorway, and the seats and ride are terrible! I got chronic back ache from it.
French cars all the way.
I agree, Volvo's are fine. Saabs too to a certain degree. Sometimes you need to experience what the other manufactures fail to offer!
