I have had a very enjoyable day with Jim today.

Tinkering with the car. Idle and fuel pump adjustments were made which has transformed the car and improved the gearbox issue a bit, especially kickdown. Then Jim reconnected my hydractive wires up and eliteded the ECU. Only trouble was the ECU didn't want to know.
Anyway, the electro valve works. It times in and times out as it should. The car goes from soft to hard when the doors are closed after 30 secs ect. Took it for a test drive, all seemed okay, went round corners nicely, not like a rolling barge!
But... Orange sport light is not working, it could very well be a bulb, or it could be something else. The switch is connected, or appears to be as the message pops up on the LCD display.
But on the drive home it felt far more solid and jittery than when it was forced into soft. It cannot be spheres as it was nice and soft before. So I'm sure it isn't meant to be this firm. It isn't totally unbearable, but no floaty ride is present. I am suspicious of the ECU. Still it's a step further to finding out why it was forced into soft mode permanently.
