Nope, 2.1s for winners, parts more common, more available through other models, no failing oil coolers, no SECOND expensive rad to fail and they DO too, easyer engine to work on...

2.1s also average about 50mpg (in manual form and early cars) where 2.5s do what 39mpg?

My 2.5 TD's achieve 42mpg to an amazing 58 MPG (Dependant on how driven) but if you drive them like a hooligan you could get them a tad lower than 40 mpg !
Paul, You've conveniently forgot to mention about the pile of poo clutch cable's/quadrant failures on the 2.1 TD manuals, also the hard operation of the clutches and not forgetting the baulky gear changes too which are not 'A feature' on the 2.5 TD's !
