Links opening in same window

When opening links to other sites, say ebay adverts, on this forum it opens in the same window so closes club-xm wheras on other forum it opens in a fresh window.

Is this just me, if not can the links be set to open a fresh browser window?

Right click on the link and choose one of two options - open in a new tab or open in a new window.

Which is what i use, i like the new tab option, very handy.

Thanks Ken. I'm just used to clicking onthe link and it working right so am being lazy..

If you use firefox then there are a number of addins that allow you to have better control by using gestures with the mouse. e.g. drag a link to open in a new tab vs click for normal behaviour or click and move the mouse left to go back a page. The ultimate in lazy browser control.

IE7 onwards should support 'open in new tab'.

It does support it, but only if I remeber to right click and select.

If you simply press the ctrl key whilst clicking with the left mouse button, the link should open in a new tab.
