The water under the glass is due to the bonding failing.

Sunroofs.......sunroofs....... Hmmmmmmm, a byword for a lot of angst!

Sunroof bonding seal, rubber seal, Ariel base, sunroof motor mount holes, drain tubes....do them all Vince!
Believe me, they were all at fault on mine. I have fixed them and it was the damn aerial that was letting in the last dribbles, which were cascading out of the passenger sun visor mount and down the actual drain tubes, that tricked me.......only as it wasn't tracking down the usual way through the central roof lights.

I love the light, I don't worry about headroom... but it's the leaking I can really do without!

Greetings all :)

As usual not much to report on the xm front....apart from a temporary fix ive found for the sunroof whilst parked.....I've cling-filmed the entire sunroof area on the roof and then put the car cover back on  I needed to have the car parked nose down for jump starting reasons so it will leak in parked that way normally :P

On other news, Im feeling top of the world again and in good shape :) Its been a long while since feeling like this ;)

This year the plan has been to get the xm back on the road earlier on in the year, but hey ho, Linda has been whacked with a tax bill for her previous position (self employed) and cant afford to pay it...Needless to say, im going to have to help foot it, so ive got "some" cars booked in this month with the first an Overfinch Range rover in black on the 19th, then its down to Charles's later in the month for a 2 day marathon on machine work :P

The trip down south will be a test of my stamina  Drive down either the night before or the morning of the job (bloody early) and nail one car, then most probably, make a start on the second and work into the night perhaps then a few hours sleep, finish it off the next morning then drive back up north again :) Im working the day after so could do with getting home at a decent ish time to get a full nights sleep before work...that's what im thinking anyway.

Im taking bookings for February from now on as this month is full, unless some local jobs come in...I might be able to squeeze one in somewhere :P

Once Linda's tax bill is paid, then I'll start squirreling away for the xm's return to the road 8-) It might be later on in the year though at this rate :| Im still coming to shows though :)

I see many happy smileys, always good! Don't tell anyone I found some water dripping yesterday, coming from our beloved sunroof area...Time for a less good smiley to compensate! :( Tax bills don't we hate them all!

Glad your feeling better Vince. Very goodnews. :D

Only one thing for it guys....get ready with the gunk! These pesky sunroofs are all failing now. Don't forget to seal your aerials too. ;) :)
I'm liking the idea of xmexclusives dehumidifier discovery.....

Who said anything about sleep Vince - I've just ordered in the floodlights for all night working!

There will be copious supplies of coffee (4 types of beans and the full range, except for a flat white), tea (4 different leaf teas plus the full spectrum of bags and hippy teas) and copious snacks and food. We'll get you through it!

Give the man an exclusive bed and breakfast, that's what I would do:) and then drive him home personally after 4 types of beer and a good meal :)
