Careful with that Russ, it can stick like the old proverbial and if too long on there will be a sod to remove and may bring paint with it.

I've had some right battles with old parcel tape. Great for parcels but that's about its limit really...

Duct or duck or gaffer tape is actually kinder in my experience although that too can be a bit of a game to shift if it gets really comfy. Never had it lift paint though, touch-wood.

This stuff is pretty good Jim. I had it on the car for a week whilst doing the sun roof the first time, and it came off okay. Needed a bit of polish just to get rid of the tackiness, but was actually fine. It will be coming off tomorrow if the weather plays ball.

That's all right then Russ, it must be the cheap stuff that's the problem. I've seen IT kit shipped back that's been covered in the stuff and it's resisted all attempts to remove it cleanly and without dragging lumps of paint off with it - hence my slight worry about your use of it...

I guess XM paint is better than that used by Mr. HP and Mr. Compaq for their servers...

Sunroof is now in and has fitted back in nicely too. All level and flush. So I'm not touching it from now on!
So only time will tell if it is fixed. On a positive note, the drivers footwell is still nice and dry, so I will get the interior back in situ. Can't wait for that. No noisy metal floor...yes! :D

Russ, fingers crossed it's all going to stay bone-dry now...

Another good test today by the looks of it

Everything is crossed Jim! :) It had better behave this time. It did chuck it down yesterday evening around 7pm, so I dashed out and it was fine. Last night it threw it down about 1pm, so no idea if it has held up yet.
Problem with this, is you become a man possessed!
