Yes, the Toyota was pretty uninspiring - especially for an architectural historian, with an implied eye for classic lines and striking design. Please do bring on the Bristols, the big Citroens, or even a Mk2 Jag, or a Rover P6 with the all-glass roof.

I'll just have to stick with Morse, Mona Lisa, The Professionals, Minder, and George Gently - and a goodly dollop of George Smiley.

Mmmm...

 excellent.

I think it was very fitting an XM popped up in that program. Much more appropriate than an Avensis.

Will, you are a genius.

I saw this prog too, I'm a BBC4 fan- represents a good 50% of watchable public broadcast TV I think.
It was repeated last night and within a short while of the beginning I read Russ' post!

Is this Toyota bashing? Not befitting this forum I think, however much you love your Citroen. Bring on Bristols. Had to laugh at that. They're as rare as hen's teeth; big Cits are not. Just saw a movie that 'features' a classic Bristol: An Education. Anyway, I love my XM too, but don't intend to get stuck in the past. But don't take it personally :D
