A question for you actually...do you get any stereo related messages on the LHD display. I'm sure mine used to say something like Radio 2 ect
I think that only happens on S2 cars Russ!

That's coming together now Dean.
I will be interested to hear more about the stereo as MP3 connect-ability is on my wish list, but I want to retain the steering wheel controls...and fit some new speakers to stop thee buzzing... LOL

Indeed and sadly that is the case...
Good job in S2 cars really as the display bulbs in the wireless are often blown making it very dark and hard to read...
In fact It's a job I need to do. Mine are out and I finally have some proper wire-haired replacement bulbs now..
I understand it's a fiddly job though...

Do you know, I could have sworn mine told you what station you're tuned in to and if your playing a tape or not.
I really am loosing it!
Jolly good, another thing to be less concerned about!!
Up side of the old taper player...looks original, and quite good speakers too for 21 yrs old. Down side, can't find any bloody tapes to play!

Hi Will
The stereo is a pioneer MVH 8200, its great for the ipod as the screen displays what the ipod screen should and the controls are laid out to match the ipod's, you can even go into the ipod menu via the stereo and the ipod itself just becomes no more than a storage device when plugged in.
I fancy the appradio by pioneer but that is a bit on the expensive side for a car that will be used once in a blue moon.
Found one,Sound quality is fantastic though, far better than the sony units ive always used and the blue tooth is handy.

14 watts RMS per channel doesn't sound much. Does it sound OK?

I think its a bit more complex than just getting the screen, when i casualy looked before i think they use a different plug than the car display i have for starters.
