It is incredible the quality of parking here. Shocking. And it is young women...sorry to generalise...who cause the most havoque.

But yesterday I was hopping at that. So he got a reprieve...only because I didn't want to cause damage to my own car.
ERGH!

One thing is for sure, my parallel parking is quite good. Initially with the XM it was shocking  ...but now got to grips with it. I think it's the higher back and very low front that distorted my spacial awareness. Fine now. :P

D day tomorrow, so need to go do some last minute checks, and fingers crossed.

Got to experience RNM some day. nibble is quick and impressed me...blimey what is RNM like then.
Consider that the standard figures for a Bosch equipped car and manual gearbox are 10.5s to 60 and yours is 12.5s, no wonder they feel quicker...but wait until you try a Lucas CAV equipped car. ;)
I wasn't impressed with my Lucas-Epic pumped car. No faster and certainly not as fuel efficient as the Bish Bash pair. I did like the real time fuel consumption trip computer though!

Russ, any news on MoT? It is today, isn't it?

Am about to book mine in for the dreaded test! It's due in about four weeks so it's good to get the extra time to fix any issues.

It is in at the moment. :?
I said they can have it all day. Makes it worse waiting, but up to something else today, so no issue not having it.

No result yet.

I still have about a week left on the old MOT.

Well the news is........crap!!!!! It has failed on three things. I had a hunch it would.

Headlight patterns are screwed up. They are knackered to be honest. But I won't be getting my replacements until July from Matthew.
Tom the MOT chap is going to try new bulbs. Fingers crossed.

RHS track rod end. :?

Emissions, but only the first test which of course counts.....can you believe. I gave it a blast down the duel carriageway this morning...but not worked. We are going to try again, but locked in third at much higher revs. Give it a damn good clear out. ARGh, so should have done this before. Annoying.
So that's it. Total pain will come to £164.56. Including retest. To be honest I don't mind. Get it done and and get it back tomorrow.

At least everything else is okay ....at the moment!!!!

That's not so bad Russ. At least it was noting serious :) I'd be content with that...

The main thing is you know all the important and critical things are good...

That's my take on it Jim.

Infact my only concern is the headlights and getting the beam pattern passable. The other issues are easily dealt with.

Never mind. But at least I know what to do next year, with emissions ect. I really must take it for a good blast more regulary.

The first rev is just clearing the exhaust. They should give it more revs then to measure the smoke opacity if it fails the first rev.

Got my car's MOT coming up soon too. Going to combine it with cam belt and water pump and hope there isn't too much else to do.

I'd hoped she'd gone through :(~

the emissions test failure appears to be common on not very hard used cars, but not serious.
I hope it was the light bulbs, if they aren't properly put in I mean gone somewhat loose, make sure they do that test with engine running.
Track rod end if it failed, it needed replacement so that's fair enough.

All in all not too bad Russ, could be far worse:)
