mark my words... you WILL regret it.. ami or gs or not.. you will...

That is very true Paul.....I do love it. Plus older Cits do have more issues with rust etc.....but...your current sd looks just as tidy as mine does once the work has been done that your planning..perhaps the top mounts aren't, as mine are like new

but the body looks straight and clean.....

Theres one massive issue with the SD, the rear glass... and im NOT prepared to shell out 165 quid for a replacment... she owes me too much now, Id never get it back.. so Im not sure Im to do with it...
Its comming together, but as its been sat for sometime theres LOTS of surface rust on things like track arms, sunbrame outer surface (NOT rot) strut lower legs, etc...
I also will need to strip out the carpet, the rear foot well seems to have some sort of Wax spill in the rear well... no idea what it is, the rear seat also needs a good clean, after the rear window jammed up and was stuck half way open (sorted now) for a year or so...

Im pretty certain series one clock clusters also have the warning bulb provision however was not needed for UK market.. its likely it was needed for Scandinavian markets though..
Im sure ive seen it on s1 cars.. NOT working of course....
Now that solves a mystery Paul. You are right as mine has the seatbelt warning light, but I have never seen it light up. So it makes sense it is for a market that required them. I have checked for wiring under the seats and around the catch, but nothing. So you must be right. But there IS a light for it. I even had a bulb in mine!

Quite agreed. You are only allowed to swap it for a V6 XM

YEY!
I'm going to look at classic ins next time too. But I usually end up sticking with admiral. Anyway this ins has been discussed at length elsewhere...no need to start again!

On a classic policy you won't accrue any NCB, hence they aren't bothered about it.
I think I pay about that on a regular policy for comprehensive, including business use.
