Yes, I believe the Gentry was made at Ryton Paul but not sure which others were. I know all the GTis were made in Mulhouse in France...

And let us never forget that the 205 never began life as a Peugeot. It was in the late stages of design by Simca when they were bought up by PSA. Pug got the 205 as part of the spoils and explains why the early 205s used the Simca 'suitcase' engine...

Jim.. Im NOT convinced the 205 was ANYTHING to do with Simca/Talbot at all...

The engines came from the 104/204 eira. The 104 used the XV engines which the Mk.1 205 had as you know. Of course XU engines were in design, which then later saw all PSA cars madified to take the new engines.

The 205 was a Peugeot design through and through, and Im gonna stick my neck out and say that Simca had NOTHING to do with the 205. We now know from me that the Simca engine and the XV suitcase engines ARE NOT RELATED.. Only in layout style. The Horizon was their smallest car, then going to Alpine hatch and solara saloon and the tagora. The Samba was simply a badge 104.

My thoughts exactley.. They went down around 1977, and was sold to PSA in 1978...

Going back to the Gentry, two for sale on car and classic. One dark green ...£3500....and the other gold....£2500 or there abouts. Now which colour suits the Gentry best. Like both very much.

Why....they look great. How it was originally penned.
They would look just as good as 5 door, but I like the 3.

It's a lot for a 205, but it is special. How are the auto boxes....as bad as an XM?!
