Interesting reading Jim. It seems it should be worth it's weight in just about the same as that Xantia...

I can strip it for the lucky buyer if needed. :) Back to the Xantia: go for it Russ!

MMMM....Robert won't be pleased!! I say no more.
I do love them in that colour. But it is so far away just to take a look.... anyone else close :D

Good grief, what happend to that XM....driven into a lake?

Go on Jaap, get it and salvage some parts. Wonder if the speedo cable works.... Headlights...would be good if they haven't discoloured... List goes on.

Allegedly Russ, it was driven over to Northern Ireland on holiday. It expired, we believe, from a oil leak which may have seized the engine. It then stood in a field for some eight years up to its door handles in wet grass and mud...

It would seem to be beyond salvation as a going concern but the hoard of spares on it is immense. Worth recovering for the speedo cable alone ;)

There is a lesson in this for all of us: DO occasionally your dip stick and check your oil levels! :)

(I said this to some nice people standing next to me on the ICCCR and probably saved that citroen engine :)

You needed a dash Russ?

Spare clocks would be good I suppose. Everything else on mine is fine, just dodgy connections. Mind you an afternoon soldering will solve that.
I could quite happily find a home for loads of spares!! ....Those alloys must be worth something once cleaned up.

This Xantia is getting under my skin.....DRAT!!!
