Your comments take me back over 40 years.
Those sound like simple Mechanical engineering tests for the over eager.
On the Civil engineering side the long wait was usually holding a surveying staff with your wellies deep in wet concrete.

Hi Norman,

Overall I think I achieved around 43-44 mpg. Very happy with that considering the roadworks and urban driving involved in my trip (all those Milton Keynes roundabouts :evil: ), plus the speeds never being below about 65 on the way home (and getting higher and higher as I got impatient to reach my destination)!

I get around 38mpg around here but much better when i go moterway cruising at a steady 60mph so quite happy with it.

Norman those figures sound excellent considering that you will be on the Lucas Epic system. The official figures for Epic are not great for urban driving and it is interesting to hear a different (and more positive) view coming from direct experience.
