Email Deluge

Hi Guys.

Opened mailbox this morning and got buried by mails from our new site here. Has someone suddenly turned something on, or has my computer been busy carrying out cloning activities while I was away ??

Sorry Mike,

It had an ongoing problem where the queued up notification emails were being sent, but never taken out of the 'send' queue, hence it ended up sending the same thing to people over and over again.

This should be resolved as of yesterday afternoon, so you shouldn't have had any duplicates since then. If this isn't the case please let me know.

Im STILL not gettin Email notifications, were do I go to turn it on???

Hi Paul,

Its in User Control Panel -> Board Preferences tab -> Edit Posting Defaults -> Notify me upon replies by default.

Incidentially, your email isn't with AOL is it?

Aha, good, because AOL won't accept email from this domain.

We have the same issue at work.

So was your setting on?

If so, PM me your email address and I'll check the server logs to see if its been attempting to send stuff out to you.

They've started comming through now, ill check my settings too... im sure its on though..

Checked: Yes its switched on, so it may start working now..
