Glimpse XM on TV

Got an epiose of Dalziel and Pascoe on TV, on Alibi channel..Episode: Sins Of The Fathers

One of the WPC's running down the street and passed an XM Estate in Blue parked in a driv way.. And I MEAN A glimpse as the camera was following the runner!!

I rarely watch the telly, though there was an episode of Taggart on Alibi a while back where a very smart
blond lass was driving a greyish 24v'er amongst the Glasgow traffic - well featured airtime actually and in
fact she's daft enough to get it knicked later in the episode (leaving her keys in the ignition ) and
they refer to it as an "expensive foreign executive car"!

I was even sad enough to see if the numberplate was listed...

and no - it wasn't!

I saw one on the Tour de France the other day on the Barcelona to Andorra stage, parked halfway up a mountain. I jumped up and said to my son "Look an Xm!" How sad is that!

That reminds me.....

One day last week I was in a customers house when an XM appeared on the TV.

There was a bloke with his wife and teenage daughters, and the family's S1 maroon XM, and caravan. They were outside the studio and Richard Schofield was looking at their caravan.

Not sure what it was about but I think the daughters were complaining about how Dad was uncool and embarassed them in front of their friends. The XM was mentioned (and shown - looked nice - very shiny), they mentioned the fact that the suspension goes up and down, and something about him dropping them off at school - I'm not sure if they were complaining that they thought the car was uncool.

My daughter loves my XMs, though we'll see if that remains when she becomes a teenager and wants picked up with her mates etc

Then again she says I'm a 'cool dad' because I'm young apparently

I sometimes drop my 11 year old daughter off at school on the outfit (motorbike/sidecar) - her street cred shoots up through the roof for the rest of the day! And I am the coolest dad in the school apparently - right up to where I take my helmet off!
