Who uses there XM on a daily basis.

Hi, yes our XM is used everyday, we have 3 other cars?, 2cv van, 2cv car plus Merc Sprinter but the XM does school run, shopping and work use.

Currently about 1000 kms a week, yes in kms French car (originally Belgian) but repatriated by us a few years back.

Bought it at 136k, sold it at 195k 3 years ago and re-bought it in Nov last year with 206k on the clock.

First car I have ever bought back.

Registered April 2000, 2.5 td Exclusive, black with black leather and electrical faults just like the rest.

Yeah, I use the XM, well, almost daily. Pick up my granddaughter, go to work (occasionally), do the shopping, go on trips. But it adds up to no more than 5000 km a year

I use mine daily. We do have 3 cars at the moment, but only because we are replacing the wifes. Normally, the XM is my only car as the wife uses hers most days too.

I do about 20,000 miles a year in it commuting every day. It is normally very reliable - except when AutoGlass got their hands on it which has left it off the road for the past month.

I would be interested to know what whent wrong with autoglass. I have a car with a cracked windscreen, awaiting a replacement but I haven't yet decided whether or not to get it replaced.

Yes, my XM is used daily too...

School runs, business trips - averaging about 18-20K per year since I bought it. (Now 146K)

Looked after regularly by Malcolm at Savoy - wouldn't let anyone else touch it!!

Only needs a good clean and a couple of cosmetic bodywork items - back bumper O/S corner damaged due handbrake linkage breaking last year whilst on our (sloping) drive at home! (Luckily didn't go far...) and cracked paint and usual stone chips on nose cone to bring it back to pristine condition from it's grubby winter state.

Will post some photos when done.

Mechanically running like a train (touch wood!)

Occasionally drive my partner Jane's 2009 207 Sport when I'm in a hurry and I know parking's tight where I'm going - but apart from that use the XM for preference given the choice of the two on the drive when Jane's not at work.

Plan is to look for another XM nearer the summer when "funding permits" (Later the better, white Mk2 TCT - but would look at another TD - saloon for preference...) to play with later in the year- keep the estate and use both to keep mileages down.

Long time no speak...

Later the better is not necceserally true with these XM's in my opinion.. To me it looks like quaility started dropping off on later cars and the spec was trimmed down more and more, rust is slightly more evedant too, Ive seen some V reg cars with truely awfull strut tops on them for example, and under body condition not too amazing.

The BEST cars are the S1.5 cars, between K 1992 and M 1994 ... But thats MY opinion only.
