Towbar wanted

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Towbar wanted

Post by jonathan_dyane » Mon Nov 29, 2010 12:01 pm

Hello all,

I could really do with a towbar for my XM hatch if anyone has one which is surplus to requirements?

Cheers,
Jonathan.

There was one knocking about e-bay very recently. Only a tenner too, and looked new.

Thanks Robert, it's still there actually, although the seller seems unwilling to post it. There is a telephone number however, so I may just call him and attempt to persuade him tomorrow. Salisbury is a long way to go to pick up a towbar...

Get him to package it, and arrange a courrier to collect it.

The seller is Pentons Garage in Salisbury.
Not at all far from me.
If it had stayed unbid for I would have put in a last minute bid and stored it until it was wanted by someone.
Can always collect it if you win and hopefully arrange its delivery.

My mate in Wakefield is breaking his XM hatch very shortly, I'm fairly sure he'll be willing to part with it. Let me know if you're interested.

Link to cheap COURIER services, Interparcel - Economy £6.99 + VAT (£8.22) for up 30 Kg's for a package size of 140cm x 50cm x 20cm (which should cope for a tow-bar) ;)

Thanks very much guys, I'll go after the ebay one unless it gets bid up to daft money, perhaps taking up John's kind offer if Roberts idea doesn't appeal to him. Failing that I'll try Ken's mate :D

Cheers!

I got a new Genuine Cit Xm towbar from my local dealer for £40. I thought it was good value at that. Luckily I had the wiring from another XM that had a towbar.
