Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Hi endorfin,i believe slightly different to other models. The low pressure valve is in the same place as late S2's,on the bulkhead feedthrough. The high pressure valve is on the input side of the drier unit.

Found the low side port, was in a ridiculously difficult place to get to!

Regassed with a full large can but seems to have made no difference. I can see lots of fluid going through the viewing glass.

Any ideas?

Its not terribly important in this weather but would be nice to have it working.

Your heater flap may be open or stuck.

How many grams did you add ?? You really need to get the system vac'd down and add the correct charge weight. Are the hoses on the discharge side cold, and suction side hot ... and the compressor clutch cycling in and out ??? If so the air-con is probably ok as suggested, but the heater flap is stuck on full hot. The XM here does the "Full Hot" trick all of the time ........................ sigh ........

Hi endorfin, also remember climate control will lock out the a/c at 15deg C (outside air temp sensor, not the same one used for r/h display,it's in the fan inlet tract),so below this you won't get a/c.

That doesn't sound right :) Setting the temperature to 15degrees will just set everything to "full cold". The compressor clutch should engage and cool the evaporator until the cycle off point (about 3degrees), this is driven by the thermister buried in the middle of the evaporator coil. If it took any notice of the temperature selection panel inside the car, you could never demist with the A/C. This simply drives the mixer flap. The A/C will be a separate system operator solely on the temperature of the evaporator and pressures inside the system. The reason the evaporator only cools to about 3degrees is you don't want it to turn into a block of ice ... No air would flow through it then!
