The only car I've completely broken down was my first car, a Mini 1275GT, after a mate crashed it 2 days after it was put on the road.

I managed to flog the engine and box, doors and boot lid, wood dash, full length sunroof, tinted windows.
the scrap man turned up expecting a complete car and got 1/4 ton of steel...

Still took it away though.. ;)

I'm begining to wish now that I had repaired the green estate as there don't seem to be anymore :(

There's a cheap Series 1 Si on ebay at present Peter. you could dieselise that one.

Yes, I've forgotten how many I've scrapped myself and don't like counting actually.
At least half a dozen each of Cx's, GS/A's, Xantiae and Xm's. :(
I get really depressed breaking GS's and Cx's. :cry:

If I could find a really nice petrol, diesel auto or even a 2.5 :o I would consider them now. The white one is a very nice car to drive, just a bit tatty, I think I will have to tidy it up a bit, we tend to use the BMW when visiting as its so much smarter but I still prefer the XM.
