Doom Maroon is a great colour, I used to dislike it, now it has really grown on me. It looks superb when its really sunny.

sorry to hear about your little setback but im sure you will have it on the road in no time.
If its metalic it will be Manderin Red even though as you say manderin is kind of associated with Orange , same colour as mine though and i love it, really comes out in the sun.

its better than the flat, non metalic maroon, not a colour i would be picking in a hurry to be honest....

Doom Maroon/mandarin Red is a great colour because in dull conditions it's Doom, in sunny conditions it's bright red/orange.

It was the only pearlescent colour available for early cars.

Interesting that it was a 'stock' car in SED trim.
