Some interesting comments here, especially from the Citroen "insider"
and Thwartedefforts (anyone heard how he's doing? Coping with being a Dad?):

Everybody is waiting for these to become second hand bargains and
yet there's going to be naff all of them available on the market to
sate this appetite.

Got to smile at the Citroen bloke's comment they never intended it to sell many here and rarity adds a cachet to the model. Rarity, maybe ----- complete invisibility, I don't think so.

MIke.

It'll be a bit like buying a used XM, there won't be many about, but there won't really be many people that will actually cough up and buy one when they are cheap enough.

The main thing that put me off that particular car was the cream interior. As the entire dashboard was cream I noticed there was a hell of a lot of reflection in the windscreen. Enough to be off putting.
I thought I caught a glimpse of envy in the eye of the driver of the C6 I came upon a few days ago on a narrow street with slow moving traffic. I now understand why :D

Broadspeed are selling new 3.0 or 2.2 tdi C6 for £24-27K. That's around £10K off new prices. Once they start doing this sort of stuff the depreciation sets in fast - seeing this I can't imagine anyone who paid near full price for a C6 a few years ago will be impressed. It looks like citroen dealers have lost grip of the resale market.

One thing that may put me off a C6 is the insurance groups they are in! Blimey group 42-46. That's the same as some very seriously fast expensive machine BMW M5's etc... I guess that lack of parts may be part of the problem.

I think I'll wait for a 3.0 to depreciate for a few years :D
