Hmmmm...they are ALL grumpy when it comes about our cars....it seems to be a global problem.

You shouldn't count a step by step rebuilt process. You worked on it at a single step at a time, without rushing.
A time required to take out the old engine and putting in a V6 is all that should count.

Yes I think you are right, I like to quote Jay Leno in these situations (cituations) and ask if she would like me to spend all weekend out and come back smelling of perfume or transmission fluid, she has never answered but it stops the moaning for a while and we are still married

Dean, thanks for your kind words. Yours is stunning. Mine is solid and workman like.
I hope your first drive goes well. The pictures are very impressive.
I look forward to a spin out.
We are coming over to the Isle in November for a few days. Maybe we could catch up?

I think that sounds like a plan Rob and I wouldn't describe yours as workmanlike, I was rather impressed by its originality and cleanliness.
By the way, I've not forgotten about coming over to you, just preoccupied at the moment with work and this project and getting enough time to do what the girls want too.

Good point! From two evils she needed to choose less evil.
You don't know what is worse...both are money and time consuming!

Dean, it looks amazing, well done.

....love those red leads. I kind of prefer the look of the 12V to the 24V TBH.
221 days is impressive. Looking forward to the test drive footage.

Thanks, there is no doubt about it the 24v is a messy engine visually but I do love that vacuum operated variable length inlet manifold, what I find interesting is that the manifold should fit the 12v and will be responsible for a reasonable amount of the extra top end power against the 12v, I have been starting to wonder if it and the different exhaust could be responsible for nearly if not more than half of the extra top end power, ok the 24v has extra valves giving increased flow and a pent roof combustion chamber against the 12v's sort of Hemi combustion chamber but I really think a lot of the gain is in the intake design and tubular headers.
That intake manifold could be very simply controlled too I would guess as i think it only has two positions, three at most.

I suspect the intake is only altered to take advantage of the additional air the engine can breathe at higher revs. Unless the 12v manifold is causing pressure drop I doubt the 24v manifold would make any difference.
