Speedy cables should have had the pattern and parts to make up a UK upper cable anyway, they have done several. It's good to hear their service was efficient, it has previously been reported to be poor.

They don't keep the parts, just as well I sent them the new one that I bought from Europe, they took the ends off and put them on a new longer cable
in all it cost about £60 including postage

Which ends did yours have, obviously the clip on speedo connector, but was it male or female at the engine bay end?

Female, now have another problem to sort out, the speedo not working, it works OK when tune it manually when looking at the connector at the back of the speedo techo the slot looks rounded and not the square shape it should have

All fix now, the bottom cable had also snap, used the spare part one I had, have taken for a test drive, all seems to be OK, who would see if the techo is reading right
