Moving fast on the M4 near Cardiff

Coming back from Bridgend this afternoon we spotted a silver XM reg S702 MKV (?) going eastbound like us but in the 'fast' lane round about 3.15 pm.
We were in the inside lane waiting to turn off onto the A470.
Anyone one on here?
