Any way of insuring 2 cars?

I've noticed that lots of you seem to have many, many cars!
I'm thinking of increasing to 2 ( yes, its started! who knows where it'll end! )
Is there any way of having an insurance policy that is sort of divided by whichever car you happen to be using at the time? I suppose its a bit silly because your wife could be driving the other one at the same time!
I just can't really justify 2 whole lots of tax and insurance.
Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew

There are companies that will insure two or more cars but I think you will find it cheaper to go on the price comparison websites, I use 'confused.com' get some quotes. I only have mine insured third party but with protected no claims and I paid less than £100.00 for the black hatch this year. Although you are starting with no no-claims, if you have an accident free record with your other car they will take that into consideration. Mind you, my wife wrote one off this year so I don't expect next years renewal to be so generous. :(
