Cheers, that's very helpful, never thought of doing it that way, think everyones been just navigating it with the dropdown box instead.

I agree it's a great shame if all the information on the site has been lost, but otherwise it at least ends a very ambiguous situation and we cannow focus on our new location.

Such a loss of info. Next time I submit a self help or similar I will do it by attaching a file next time rather than text on the forum. That way it's easy to replace.

Hi, Maybe it is not all lost?. Norrie did in his post say that they were still working on it and that access may not be possible at times even by the 'back door' .

Is it my imagination, or has the error message changed on the old forum ? If so, maybe someone is trying to salvage something.

MIke.

Hi All

Thought this might be the right place to start putting " John's Boxing Day tales".

After a good mid-day meal with all the family my son-in-law and I got a bit bored so I got him to try to teach me a bit about computer programmes.
He picked up the nearest computer to hand, the laptop owned by SWMBO, and showed me how a programme called web snake works. It was very interesting.
SWMBO has been complaining ever since about me filling up her hard drive with rubbish without permission. Still I had a look today and she has not deleted the "rubbish" we copied from the web so I am seeing if I can shift it onto a memory stick. Club-XM.com rubbish actually so watch here to see if I can put back up as a read only copy some parts of the old website forum. Even if I am successful all those valuable postings made in the first quarter of this year will be missing.

Will see how it goes.

Just a nudge to bring this into view of the active threads again should you want to
visit club-xm.com whilst the access is available via the backdoor!!
