Just seen this advertised by a trader, on Autotrader.
Very little info, but it sounds remarkably like the low miles car that was up for auction (not on ebay) some time ago - but is now a lot cheaper. Sounds good value if it hasn't suffered from too little use.

Yes, it does look like, same colour at least. The low miler had 14K on the clock.

I had a look on the old forum for details on the car, and found the above link.
This is the link from the old forum...

Most definately, and what a detailed description!
Well it is cheap, cheap, cheap, a lot of XM for the money.

Is it still sporting the old number plate? Or has the last owner cashed it in?
Thank you, Robert, for your intro to the item about this car on the old forum. An interesting read, my typing finger was itching to make a reply. But that would have been like talking to the dead parrot in the Monty Python sketch

According to the DVLA vehicle check, 'A1DTGT' is still on a 2 litre Citroen - so this is presumably another low mileage car in the same colour (the Autotrader car is advertised as 'J' reg).

Just of the phone with the seller.
It is a different car from the one sold at auction.
This car is on a J plate, it does not have leather, so it is probably a Si.
Years MOT, and taxed to the end of the month. He picked the car up from Woking area.
If anyone is concerned about potential problems with these XMs with very low mileages. I bought a 17K mile 1990 2.0 Si Manual over 2 years ago. There were no big age related problems with it. My advice, as with any used car purchase, is to change all belts, coolant, and engine oil and filters. My car was on its original rear tyres that needed to be changed because they were perishing. I also had to change the front height corrector that was not operating properly. I suspect that this would be more a car specific problem and little to do with little use. On the electronics side, I have only ever encountered 1 electrical glitch, which was the failure of the ignition amplifier module.
As with any XM, a little remedial work, and it will give plenty of good service.
