Well the rally is not far off now, and the weather is looking glorious so hopefully it will stay that way... Thanks if you have contacted me about securing a place of the visit to Bletchley, the Breakfasts and the Evening Meals - there is a healthy amount of numbers for all which is great!

We want everything to go as smoothly as possible so could I possible know from people their choices of food for the Evening Meal please - this is because it is a set menu and thus the pub would like to gauge rough numbers for each meal which is understandable. The list is below, and could you please PM me your choices along with your Full Name. Many thanks!

For Saturday Evening we have organised a meal to be held at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub. A menu was drawn up with the Pub that features a wide choice so (hopefully!) everyone will be catered for. The menu is below, and a vegetarian option will of course be available. Menu subject to change.

Starters - Smoked Salmon, Paté Dish, Tomato and Basil Salad.

Mains - Beef Bourguignon, Coq au Vin, Old Smokey Burger (Pub Special).

Desert - Tart ou Citroën, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Profiteroles.

The cost for the meal is £15 per head and will be at 7:30pm on Saturday Evening.

By a great stroke of fortune I will be attending- just a few hours ago this was not even remotely on the cards! My girlfriend bought a BX GTi slightly over a week ago (damnit she beat me to owning a hydropneumatic Citroen).
Very excited and hoping someone will be kind enough to take me out in an XM (alas, as yet I have not even been driven in one, let alone drove one)!

There has to be more of a story to the last minute reprieve.

You are quite welcome to a ride in my car. This one I'm quite protective about, but depending on insurance you never know about a drive.

Your Girlfriend is obviously quite shrewd, a BX Gti is quite a mover. I once had a Volvo 440GLT and a colleague a BX Gti. On the way to collect new cars we gave them full beans and he absolutely murdered me...unfortunately the Copper with a speed gun didn't share his appreciation of how quick the BX was.

Ride (and drive) one of Dieselman's and your fate is sealed. It was what started me on this road to XM ownership. I had a false start and a dither but got there in the end, all thanks to Will

Strangely, the Cobalt one I am quite happy for people to drive, the Mandarin one...
