I actually do but....

I have two cars without them and they are pretty much bone dry. My Activa has one and whilst it doesn't leak and is dry inside it's always much more prone to steaming up and generally feeling a bit damp compared to the other two. I've experienced this on other sunroof-equipped cars I've owned over the years..

I think if I'd have had all the fun you and Will have had than I'd be very much in agreement Russ..

I have a sheet of metal and a pop-riveter if that's any help ;)

Seriously, all best wishes for the resolution of this. Looks like today is another good tester

Yeah it has been Jim!..... too much in fact. Still sun is now out. So I want to whip out the sunroof later and cover the hole with plastic. Ironically that will be more water proof!

Generally I do like sunroofs, I like the light they give, but it really is testing my patients. still I have found the fault. Plan of action has been devised.

Going back to your Activa feeling damp. Is it anything to do with the water simply sitting in the drip tray. Yesterday I was quite surprised at how much was left sitting in the tray. It will all drain off the moment you drive away of course, ....just a thought though.

Well for some reason, the front left corner has started letting in water in between the glass and the frame. I was not skimpy on the mastic, used all the primers ect....but for some reason there be a hole. I have a hunch, I might of accidentally pulled a bit out when trimming the excess to get the seal on. Stupid mistake ;) :(

I tested all the other sides and nothing leaked through. So there we are, at least I found the culprit. It was so flipping obvious today. so it's now plugged and drying. Really hope it works! Interestingly when I took the weather seal off, the back of the frame was dry. Just the front was wet.

Only I now appear to have a soggy rear passenger for well for some reason. at this rate the whole interior is coming out! I am hoping it was just me disturbing and leaving the sunroof panel slid back that caused it. That was sopping wet.
But at least the front drains are not leaking water. The tie wraps have worked. :D
Fun and games as usual...not looking forward to Friday's weather. :?

Check the ventilation intake in the scuttle for the water ingress.

Nothing as shabby as a leaking car....but that's what citroens always seem to do. It's always something you either overlook or just have to do twice, very recognisable. I wonder if series II have the same sunroof as the earlier series. Hope you'll get it sorted soon.

cheers Jaap! I hope this second fix works....flipping peed off it doesn't!

I think all the XM sunroofs apart from the very early ones are all the same.

I've always said that Citroen were in the wrong business - they should have made kitchen equipment. Specifically colanders and sieves...
