Cheers Jaap! the glass panel and frame it is bonded to, simply unscrews from the sliding mechanism. 10 screws in all. Three each side and four along the front behind the trim. You need to pop up the sunroof to get to the three screws each side. Really really easy to do.

Had a slight panic fitting it as the drivers side mechanism dislodged...all popped back in though.

The seal...Hmm, been there.
You might be able to get it tighter with a bit of persuasion, otherwise use some of the sealant as a join.

I have got it as tight as it will go. I used a wooden mallet to really get it properly seated, but it's just not quite meeting. Just one of those things...I don't think it would ever go back as it was. ;)
So at the mo I have some gasket sealant and a bit of tape covering the join to make it water tight. But I will do exactly as you suggest Will and use some black sealant.

It rained last night too, so I am about to go and check it out. Eeeek!

Well glad to report even with a slightly dodgy weather seal, it was dry inside. :D :D :D

At about 4:30 this afternoon, after cleaning and polishing the the C5....it's going to a wedding next week so it had to be spruced up!!..... ;)
I got the sunroof back out and and took the seal off. Cut back some overflowed sealant..and refitted. Much better seal and stuffed some black sealant into the join to finish it. So now...hopefully it will be all sorted. But very pleased the car is dry inside.

Mine is still completely dry in any weather and it has vastly improved the enjoyment of the car.

I bet Will....I'm now itching to get the interior back together. I just want to do a hose test on it, once the sealant has cured, and if all dry..it will be put back together.

One thing I did do yesterday, was re glue the saggy loose headlining where the water had caused the glue to fail. So now, it's all fixed in place again. :D

Excellent Russ, a very good weekends' work...

Looks like the weather in the week will be a good test for it

I can agree, Will about having a nice watertight car enhancing enjoyment. I hate leaks of all kinds with a passion and ones that lead to a soggy interior are the very worst...

When you can't see out of the back window, it's a pain.

Absolutely,...the only time I can remember when the car really fogged up was at CXM when I moved the car at about 11:30 sat evening and it really was misted up. Apart from that, through the winter I was getting condensation on the inside of the windscreen. A tale tale sign I suppose. ;)

It's been raining quite hard this evening, so this is a good test :) .....hopefully tomorrow it will be dry. I did go and have a quick peak and didn't see anything. The anticipation!!!!
