I'm not a fan of Focus groups.

Too many Fords turn up.

I noticed that German cars are becoming far better looking nowadays, than the French. It's not at all as bland as it used to be, what is coming of the German production lines. On the one hand very irritating, on the other quite positive too. And as for Citroen, they are now quite famous in my book, for missing out on opportunities for decades now.

Well, Yes I would too, but unfortunally, I HAVE to watch running costs and road tax etc. £200 a tyre? Take me two months for that alone... so, I have to admit defeat and say I dont think it will ever happen for me.

Don't think it will ever happen to me either. If I had a C6 on the drive I would have to use it, and my Xantia's just too good as a runaround to ignore.

I can afford to run either an expensive classic or an expensive day to day car, but not both. Any money I spend on the SM is going to improve it so that gets the vote over a C6.

I have begun to realise that as each year passes I like modern cars less and less. All I would love would be for Citroen to make a properly suspended big car, with a nice, cooking but economical 6 cylinder diesel, could come from anywhere, and/or for Alfa to make a proper rwd saloon/coupe with a nice sonorous V6. Both would have to be designed by a deranged Frenchman or a sharp suited Italian. I leave ugliness and harsh rides to the Germans.

Doesn't narrow it down much though.

Aren't all Frenchmen deranged?

Aren't all Italians sharp suited?

And aren't all Germans ugly? :P
